Honeymooning in Mexico... Life is Good!

Paradise in Mexico... This was our view from the condo. There were many condo's but only a few guests while we were there. It was like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was Amazing, Peaceful, and very Beautiful.

This was our breakfast table every morning with a view to the North. We cooked cherizo and eggs and washed it down with a nice cold Corona, with lime of course. We had to deal with mostly clear skies and a temperature of low 8O's. Life was ruff.

Most mornings, this would be our view to the South. We thanked God every day for the amazing blessings in our life. We would suggest this opportunity to anyone. Hope you get the chance to see what Mexico has to offer the world.

On our last day, we ventured off the paved roads and headed into the wilderness. This is the Beautiful Mrs. Petit, practicing a sale for the Jeep, in case we get into trouble and need to barter it for our lives. She is showing off the wonderful options available on the classic, 4 wheel drive, standard Jeep with a/c. It is the choice of vehicle for our visitors from the North. Fortunately, we never had any problems and made it back without a flat. Woo Hoo!

Footprints in the sand... How often do you notice the footprints that you leave behind? What kind of a trail do your prints tell? One of togetherness? One of Love? Laura and I know that God has brought us together with a Plan and Purpose. Our Hope is that we can live our lives with Truth, Honesty, and lots of LOVE; and of course, sharing that with all of our Family and Friends. Only through HIM.

We were constantly looking for Authentic Mexican food. We had searched all over Cabo San Lucas. Finally, the last night, we were touring main street of our little town, San Jose del Cabo. We found good shops and excellent food. This is what we were looking for... a little piece of Mexico called Damiana. We were the only people in there, ...because it was about 9pm, not because the food was bad. It was very romantic and peaceful. The food was perfect! We ate until it hurt. A sign of Good Times!!!

This is one of the local beaches we made it to, East of San Jose del Cabo. We traveled down away from all the crowds and enjoyed the sounds and smells of the wonderful Pacific ocean. The water was a little rough, until you got out in it and floated with the waves. We couldn't get enough of the waves!!!

...Mrs. Petit and her creativity at work. Anybody recognize this? Playing in the sand wouldn't last long. Only until the next wave made it up to where you were being artistic.

This is one of the most famous rocks in Mexico. You might have recognized it in the movie 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. It is located next to 'Lover's Beach'. When we took this picture, we were aboard the 'Buccaneer Queen', a pirate ship for tourists. They informed us that 'Divorce Beach' was located opposite of Lover's Beach. We thought that was sad until they explained. Apparently, if you are ready to be rid of your current mate, you can go "swimming" at Divorce Beach and let the current suck them out to sea. Not right, but Funny!!!

A Glimps of the Wedding...

Hey Everybody, Laura and I had an Amazing time at the wedding. If you missed it, you missed an Awesome Party!!! We would like to thank everyone who made the trip. We hope you thought it was worth it, we sure did! We would like to share with you a couple of pictures from the wedding. Also, If you are looking to order any pictures from the wedding, our photographer took about 400. You can find them at http://www.kightphoto.com/. (After entering his site, there is a link under the picture, click it, then search for 'Black Petit Wedding'.) Order at will, and enjoy! We love You. 80D.

This is Laura's 'Marlon Brando' look. She was trying to play a tough role, but I knew her Heart was tender and ready for my love. Thank You for blessing me with Your Love and Kindness, My beautiful Wife. Always, XoxO.

The day was perfect and full of love and happiness. Many laughters, many tears of joy, ...who could ask for more? We were surrounded with Family and Friends. Life is Good!

Most of you didn't know, but the cake was my (Jared) responsibility. The choice was easy for me. My favorite cake for years has been 'Red Velvet'. The cake design I chose was 'Laura', ...fitting, I thought.

Fortunately, we had discussed our cake feeding procedure beforehand. I was tempted to rub a little on her face, but was afraid my night wouldn't end as happy as I was hoping. 80) Love to All!!!

Jared's 33rd Birthday... Still Younger than Laura!!!

Update on information - 8/31/08

Hey Everybody, Laura and Jared here, reporting from Hot and Sunny Sacramento. We are trying to get most of our wedding details finished up. We wanted to update you about some of the vendors we are working with for our Big Day. Our wedding location is at Arden HIlls Country Club ( http://www.ardenhills.net/ ) in Sacramento. Our ceremony will take place outside in the Courtyard and reception to follow in the East Terrace room.
And we have found a really good deal on rooms at the Radisson Hotel ( http://www.radissonsac.com/ ). If you are coming in for the weekend, you can look online at the Radisson website for deals. The best deal we have found was: 1) Go to their site. 2)Click Reservations. 3)Click 'Book Now' 4)Put in the dates for the weekend, 10/17/08 to check out 10/21/08 then click 'Go'. 5)Choose the package that fits your style. The cheapest rooms will be located away from the water area, but there are lots of chairs and places to hangout. Lots of 'Good Times' to be had by all.
We are excited to share our special day with you and look forward to seeing you soon. Love L n J.

Some candid shots

Here are a few pictures of us we thought we’d share with everybody. The above picture was taken over Thanksgiving weekend 2007. He must’ve liked my cooking – he did propose to me after all :)

Taken on Valentine’s Day weekend by my future mother-in-law Petit. We’re enjoying qual time with her, dad Petit, and Marissa watching The Princess Bride… ahhhhh good times!

Jared, with Laura in the kitchen – one of her favorite places! Photo courtesy of: Marissa

Two pieces of a puzzle, fitting perfectly together

I’m sad because Marissa and I are getting ready to fly back to CA. Little did I know that in just a couple months after this picture was taken we would be engaged.
